Yeah, I love it when I get these for a Discover card. Never had a Discover card. My favoriite is when you call and they actually try to sell you into getting a Discover card to fish for your information.

It's even better when the number they text you to call is a pay phone at a prison. Seriously?

There is some truth in what you say. I'm a horrible sleeper. More so later in life. The ability to sleep off any performance started easily in my teens. :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting Ruby.

Maybe you aren't getting good restorative sleep in your regular sleeping time. Sleep apnea? Nice piece though.

This reminded me of a conversation I carried on with my mom during which she was asleep the entire time. It was high school. We were on a bus. The event we were traveling to was on the other side of the state. By the time I figured out that she was asleep I was too far into my story to stop, plus I didn't want anyone to know I was so boring my own mother fell asleep on me, so I continued the story...in case anyone was listening.

I still remember his smiling face in Philidelphia. You were absolutely glowing and your mother had this serene peace on her as well. It was very much that she was at peace and restful after seeing her daughter finally happy after this ordeal. I was honestly very beautiful.

How lucky this child was to be placed in a home so invested in his life and his well-being! When so many families are born out of situation and chance, it is often a bleak prospect that forces a parent to give their child up for adoption. You gave Alex a new beginning and there is something to be said about that. I was, and still am honored that I got to spend that short day with all three of you, and thank you for sharing your story.

This story gets me all verklempt with awe, and inspiration. I really appreciate the revisiting of this process for us here, and the emotional roller coaster you endured to reach the goal. And must confess that the story, and the son are the two most beautiful things I've witnessed in scores of years. Words can't express how this story has moved me these past months. I shared the feelings of destination you mention in closing, when I received my own blessing, briefly wondered how to align with my thoughts on free will, but find any wont to philosophical introspection dissipates further into the misty ether each time I hear my son laugh, call me daddy, or cry out from those innocent frights or playground scrapes that can only be righted through a hug and a magically healing kiss of a parent.

Thanks so much for sharing this story.
